Your dev sessions never drop.
Keepalive puts the terminals and files of your own computers on your Android phone. Sessions run on the computer, not the phone, so a long build or an AI coding agent keeps working while your phone is locked, offline or busy with something else.
No accounts, no ads, no analytics.

A real terminal, in your pocket
Made for developers who live in tmux and work with AI coding agents, and who don't want to stay at the desk while those agents work.
>_Terminals that don't drop
- Real terminal sessions on your Linux (tmux) and Windows computers
- Reconnects by itself after a network drop, and the program in the session keeps running
- Every session on the computer, with a preview of its last lines
- Extra keys with sticky Ctrl and Alt, and a compose bar for long prompts, with dictation and autocorrect from your phone's keyboard
✻Built for AI coding agents
- Start Claude Code in a project folder with one tap, or continue the last conversation
- The agent keeps working on the computer while you are away: check in, answer it, put the phone down
- If an agent changed a file you are editing, Keepalive shows the difference instead of overwriting it
{ }Files and a code editor
- Browse, create, rename, move, copy and delete files on the computer
- Syntax highlighting for about 50 languages, search and undo
- Markdown preview and a photo viewer with zoom
- Download files and whole folders, or share files from any app straight to the computer
#Private by design
- Connects through your own private WireGuard tunnel. Your computers open no ports to the internet
- The phone's SSH key lives in Android Keystore and cannot be extracted
- Optional PIN lock, with app content hidden in recent apps
- No servers of ours in between: the app talks only to your hub and your computers
How it works
Keepalive reaches your computers through a small WireGuard hub. The hub only relays the tunnel: your sessions are SSH, encrypted from the phone to the computer.
-
A hub on a server
A small WireGuard hub runs on a server you control. One hub serves all your computers and phones.
-
Each computer joins
A one-time setup script on each Linux or Windows computer. It connects out to the hub and accepts SSH only through the tunnel.
-
The phone joins
Import the tunnel config into Keepalive and add the phone's SSH key to your computers. That's it.
You need: Android 16 or newer · Linux computers with tmux, or Windows 11 · a server for the hub.
Keepalive is in beta, and we help every tester set up their hub and computers. Write to [email protected] to join.
